Goiabao (Planchonella pachycarpa) is light yellow and very uniform in color with sapwood not clearly demarcated from the heartwood. The grain is straight or slightly interlocked with a fine, even texture. Easy to work with both hand and machine tools. Joints are easy to produce with glue and hold well. Typical uses include veneer, furniture, paneling, and other small specialty wood items.
